Pieta

I painted this work with soft pastels, it took me seven months and it is my most important and biggest painting. From a spiritual point of view it transformed me forever. the model who plays Mary is my mother and Jesus is my younger brother. My older brother died while I was making this work and the unplanned drama that unfolded meant that I transferred all the intensity and spirit I could into this work.
