Lake Shinonome

Lake Shinonome is one of the great hidden lakes in Hokkaido. I walked about one and half hours from the nearest parking area. They say it will disappear in near future somehow. I saw the lake for the first time last fall. I went there seven times. Each time the landscape looked different depending on the weather and changing colors of the leaves there then. I painted this piece of work on the spot. I tried to capture the atmosphere of the day.
