Poised

Acrylic on canvas of a tiger in the jungle. Inspired by a children's book "The Camel who Took a Walk" by Jack Tworkov describing an amusing set of events building suspension and ending with nothing happening. In the book a tiger is waiting for just the right time to pounce on its prey, a time that never came. This was one of my favorite books growing up and I loved how poised and ready the tiger was hiding behind the leaves, whether or not it would be victorious or not it was ready. I always felt like it was a great story to learn from as a child. Not everything will go your way but you should always be prepared and poised.
