With a wingspan more than 6 feet, the Wedge Tailed Eagle is Australia’s largest bird of prey. I was lucky to see this one land atop a desert dune. I grabbed my camera and walked up the hill and spotted this magnificent creature grasping the dry, twisted shrub as it kept an eagle-eye on the surrounding plain.
