Monte Creek Vineyard
This is an entirely plein air, palette knife painting I completed recently on a windy, crisp day in the South Thompson River valley, British Columbia. We don't have many vineyards around here so it was fun to get a chance to paint one with the local artist chapter. This almost ended up face down in the dirt when a particularly strong gust caught my easel near the end. I was able to tie it to a post for the remainder and get it done safely. Three solid hours, the others had packed up long ago but mission accomplished!
