Provincetown Reflections

I was in Provincetown on Cape Cod and came across a vintage grocery store window, reflecting houses and cars in the street. I was mesmerized by the way the items on the shelves lined up with the cars and houses; it seemed almost uncanny. It was a process of discovery to figure out how to ensure everything in the painting could make sense: the olive oil cans, the balsamic vinegar bottles, the ceramic bowls against the roofs, trees, and car doors. I loved every minute of painting this puzzle-like composition.
