Should we go?
Watercolour and oil pastel on paper. This work is part of a series of works portraying places I don’t want to be forgotten I was there. Each work is alike to a diary submission, one place at a time. The characters featured in my paintings are inspired from Jizo statues who have the role to look after tavellers who come upon their path. I paint a more simplified version of these beings as onlookers of my journey to prove I was indeed once there. "Should we go" portrays a corner in my favorite bar in Peckham, London, a secret gem for just me and my friends to enjoy on a quiet night out after a busy day.
