I went to Europe on a bus tour, While in Venice Italy having lunch with my girlfriends, I saw this man sitting against the wall. I snapped his photo thinking he was homeless. As I painted him I realized he was not homeless by the crease in his sleeve. I started the painting with an Acrylic base to get the texture of the background. The I switched to Oil for him and the glazes over the background.
