Oil on Stretched Linen. Each year our family spends a week at the New Jersey shore for vacation. In 2019, I painted and drew the figures on the beach as I do each year. The surf was extremely rough with a drowning down the beach from where I was working. The drama of the life guard rescue attempt inspired my painting, "Braving the Surf".
