Betatakin Ruins

Oil painting of the Betatakin Ruin, a cliff dwelling in the Navajo National Monument. This piece was rendered with strong use of palette knife as well as brushes. Based on sketches, memory, and photo reference from a ranger-led hike through the amazing Tsegi canyon. I was fortunate to have had such glorious light on that day.
