My inspiration for Vermont Forest was a trip to Vermont for a painting workshop with Mark Boedges. Mark is an expert in capturing the light and shadows in a forest scene and this is my first attempt to capture that same beauty. This scene is a location in Vermont near Waitsfield where my son and I hiked in to see a waterfall. The painting is oil on a 9 x 12 canvas panel.
