Betwixt and Between

I began this painting sitting among the pines at the coast in Gloucester, MA. I changed my position over several days as I continued to work on the painting. The trees were sparsely placed in the initial block in. I added more trees and exaggerated angles over the course of several days. The bands of clouds at the horizon are constantly changing, and this is integral to my design.
